What are you reading?

When I started this blog a few weeks ago I had plenty of things I wanted to write about, but one thing I didn't think about writing about was the books I've read. I am not much into doing book reviews, but I do love talking about the books I've read and come to love!

My current genre right now, and has been for a while, is romance. I love the drama, emotional roller coaster type reads that tear your heart out and leave you panting for more.

I read a few books here and there but what really lit the fire was the Twilight series. Yup, that was it.  Good ol Edward and Bella. I was absolutely obsessed! BJ and I watched the movie first before I read the books and I remember thinking it was the most stupidest movie I had ever seen. Edward kept telling Bella they couldn't be friends, blah blah blah. I kept thinking "fine! Then don't, jeez!" But after I started reading the book I was like Oh! Ohhhh! awe! It made much more sense after that. I was hooked. I had a huge book hangover after that one, it took me a while to move on… but I finally did..

And so it began, my love for reading. I have to admit, my taste are kind of singular. In no particular order are the books I have read over the last 6 years….

The Sookie Stackhouse series (AKA TrueBlood)
Pure Awesomeness. I have read all but the very last book. I accidentally read a HUGE spoiler about the last book and it does not end how I think it should so frankly, I don't want to read it. The books though, especially the first 6-7 are fabulous. I have them all if any of my real life friends are interested :) Rated R

House of Night series
I really liked this series when I first started it. There were only a few books out at the time and once the rest were published I guess my taste matured and wasn't really into these anymore. Its about a school to teach new Vampires/Witches pretty much how to be, Vampire Witches. Its an easy PG13 read my friends.

The Infernal Devices
Bj bought me the first book for Mother Day a few years ago and I absolutely loved it! It is set in London in the late 1800s and is based on ShadowHunter that hunt and kill other fantasy creatures to keep humans safe. It actually pretty awesome. PG13

The Mortal Instruments
This is about Shawdowhunters as well but set in present day in New York. It was really cool to read both of this series in order and the City of Bones movie was right on. I loved it! PG13

Ahhh, Abbi Glines. What can I say about Abbi Glines? She is absolutely brilliant and her books come out so quickly and are absolutely fabulous! I am missing a few of her books because I have been involved in a few new series since she has published her latest but at one time I had read everything she had written. I love her. To make things better, She bases the majority of her books in Alabama, she's a HUGE Alabama fan (Roll Tide) and she loves Jeeps.

Abbi Glines: Too Far Series
This one tore my heart out. I read the first book in one night! It was absolutely heart wrenching too me. Read this series if you havnt! Rated R

Abbi Glines: The Vincent Boys
This was one of my favorites as well. Ha, who am I too kid, they ALL were my favorites. Anywho, I loved this one as well. However, make sure you get the uncut version but its a little steamier! R :)

Abbi Glines: Seabreeze series
Absolutely glorious. Each books has its own spin off book containing another character from the book (Or the majority of them does) I have not read all the spin off books but I have really enjoys all of these pictured below and the few spin offs that I have read. Rated R

Abbi Glines: Existence series
Now this one is not as popular as the others and I am really not sure why. I absolutely loved it! PG13

The Beautiful series by Jamie McGuire
Y'all. Y'all, seriously, this book has been the #1 book that I absolutely adored and tore my heart out. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire book that I read in 2 days! 10 stars if I could. The second, Walking Disaster is the first book in the males POV, I enjoyed it as well. R

50 Shades of Grey
I am sure you can guess after reading this blog thus far that I have sooo read this book. Of course I have and loved every freakin minute of it. The movie, might I add, is on point. Ha, do I even need to rate this!?

The CrossFire series
I read this series after my book hangover from 50 shades and loved it. It was just what I needed. It is very similar to 50 shades, without the BDSM. There were only suppose to be 3 of them and now there is suppose to be 5. I think they are stretching it out way too far. I have not read 4 and there is not release date, to my knowledge, about the 5th. And the same, no rate needed.

Hush Hush Series
I have read a lot of bad reviews about this series. It is geared towards "high schoolers" and I am trying to stay away from that kind now since my taste have matured but I really really enjoyed this series and LOVED Patch :) PG13

The Sempre/Forever series
Sempre was recommended by a friend of mine and I feel in love with it. It is the story of the Mob and Human Trafficking. It is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. This is the first of many Gangster/Mobster type books I have read and I have loved every one of them. I had no idea that Made was out, it looks like novella about a character in the main books that I can't wait to dig my teeth into! Rated R

The Hunger Games
What book shelf wouldn't be complete without The Hunger Games? Honestly, I didn't care for these books at all. I enjoyed the first one, I liked the second one and the third one went right over my head. Just when I thought I was starting to understand what the heck was going on, it ended. (I can't say much more without spoiling) I enjoy the movies though :) PG13

And last but not least...The Blackdagger Brotherhood series
I really really like this series thus far. I am on the 4th book and love it. It is the typical vampire romance series that showcases each character giving them their own book. I love how the author give you a hint at who the next book will be about and makes you want more. I was lucky enough a friend has all these books so I don't have to buy them because at 7.99 a pop, that would be expensive. The boys are HOT! :) R, oh so rated R.

And thats it. I have read many more books but you can find all of those, if your interested, on my good reads.
Feel free to post what you are reading and what has been your favorite this far!
